This concert will highlight the role of women on the home front and their contributions to healing. Three vocalists, accompanied by musicians from the Jerusalem Baroque Orchestra, will present a repertoire of original compositions and polyphonic songs from diverse folk traditions that transcend time and space. Through songs of praise, lamentation, healing, and lullabies, the concert will evoke the image of the healing woman during times of war. The pieces performed will create a musical mosaic from Mediterranean countries, featuring both liturgical and secular music, including original interpretations of Israeli songs through the lens of the era.
