Ori Avni is a talented guitarist and creator of meditative instrumental music. His intricate and polished compositions weave short musical narratives, earning him the moniker "Zen Guitar." Drawing inspiration from a variety of sources, including Bill Frisell’s folk-jazz, the New Wave bands of his youth, and the distinct guitar sounds of Ehud Banai, Avni cultivates a unique and immersive sound that transports listeners on a profound musical journey.

In his latest trio, Avni partners with two of Israel’s premier musicians – Shachar Haziza on drums and Gilad Abro on double bass. Together, they present original compositions by Avni, leading the audience on an instrumental expedition that seamlessly merges various musical realms. This performance is made possible with the support of Mifal HaPais – the Council for Culture and Arts, and the trio has been honored with the ACUM Award for musical creation.
