The Israeli premiere of Francesco Cavalli’s spectacular opera “La Calisto”, fully staged. It tells the story (based on the myth of Calisto from Ovid's “Metamorphoses”) of Jupiter who, in order to win Calisto’s love, disguises himself as the goddess Diana, while his wife Juno tries to separate the two by turning Calisto into a bear. Intertwined in the plot is the love story of Diana and the shepherd Endymion.

A unique concert in which players of the Jerusalem Baroque Orchestra will collaborate with the renowned Canadian Ensemble Caprice, about which the New York Times critic wrote: “This is the ensemble that invites listeners to rehear the world”. The two ensembles will join to perform Charpentier’s “Te Deum” alongside works of Rameau and Telemann. The collaboration will continue when the same program will be performed again at the Montreal Baroque Festival.
